Aircraft Engineer Toolkit is a local-only aviation maintenance utility app. The app is designed as a reference and calculation aid for aircraft engineers and technicians.

Data Collection

The app does not collect, sell, or share personal data such as name, email address, account information, precise location, advertising identifier, or device identifier.

Airport Weather Lookup

When using Airport Wind or the Airport METAR home screen widget, the ICAO or IATA airport code used by the app is used to request current METAR weather data from NOAA AviationWeather.gov. The widget may refresh this METAR request periodically while active, using the iOS widget refresh schedule. The developer does not store the airport code used for this weather lookup.

Tracking

The app does not track users across apps or websites and does not use advertising identifiers.

Accounts

The app does not require login or account creation. Calculations and references are processed locally on the device.

Analytics

The app uses first-party anonymous usage analytics to improve the product. The app sends signed usage events such as app opened, tool opened, favorite actions, language changed, converter calculation type, MEL calculation/copy actions, widget tap actions, lookup success/failure status, and general lookup input type to the developer endpoint at kkdir.org.

Analytics events do not include name, email, account information, precise location, advertising identifier, device identifier, raw METAR text, calculation values, MEL expiry dates, or the exact airport code entered by the user.

The app does not include third-party analytics SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites. Apple may also provide aggregated App Store analytics to the developer through App Store Connect.
